The Terminal 4 multi-storey car park closed on 23 June 2026. Pick-ups there are either the paid Priority Pick-Up kerb or Zone A of the Park & Ride, free for two hours.

Short Stay was renamed Terminal Parking on 29 September 2025 and Long Stay became Park & Ride, but road signs still use the old names.

Drive-up stays have no maximum: Heathrow says you can stay as long as you like on the daily tariff. No height limit is printed for the ordinary levels, only for the overheight areas. Heathrow's page disagrees with itself on the overheight areas: the text gives a minimum charge of 19.50 pounds for up to two hours, both price tables print 21 pounds. We show the tables.

Wait in the Authorised Vehicle Area on Northern Perimeter Road, then collect inside the terminal's Terminal Parking car park, which has signposted private hire pick-up areas, or from Park & Ride. Black cabs use the ranks outside each terminal.
Heathrow publishes no airport permit for private hire pick-ups. The waiting area only asks to see a private hire operator licence or taxi licence on request.

Heathrow prints no height limit for the AVA. Past five hours it says the AVA costs the same as Terminal Parking, yet the table on the AVA page prints lower figures, 41 pounds for 5 to 6 hours against 44 pounds in Terminal Parking. We show the AVA table as printed, so expect the barrier to charge a few pounds more. The 12 hour limit and the rule against meeting passengers here come from the AVA FAQ and terms documents that Heathrow links from this page; the terms are dated June 2016.

Charter coaches collecting a group report to the West Ramp Coach Park (TW6 2QU, staffed 06:00 to 22:00) first and are sent to the stand when the group is ready. At most 20 minutes on a stand, and the driver stays with the vehicle. Waiting at the coach park is limited to 30 minutes before the collection time.
Collections are charged by permit, not by the clock, and dropping a group off carries no published charge. Heathrow prints no height limit for the stands and does not say from how many seats a vehicle counts as a coach.
"Customers may park vehicles up to 3 meters high in the designated overheight area on the ground floor of Short Stay Car Park 2." "Customers may park vehicles up to 2.75 metres high on the ground floor of Short Stay Car Park 3." At Terminal 5, "use the Fast Track / Overheight Vehicles entrance on the ground floor of Short Stay Car Park 5". At Terminal 4, vehicles "over 2 metres high and/or 2.1 metres wide" go to Park & Ride Terminal 4.
The prices and rules here are what the airport had published on the date shown beside each one. Airports change them without notice, and the sign at the barrier always wins. Terminal Rules is not the airport and cannot cancel or appeal a charge for you.
