Terminal Rules sets no cookies, so there is no consent banner. It has no forms, no embeds, no adverts and no third-party fonts: every font, style and image comes from terminalrules.com.
Who is responsible

What is kept on your device
One thing, and only if you use the light and dark switch: your choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key tr-theme. It is your own setting. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
What the host sees
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes a request log when your browser asks for a page: IP address, time, the page asked for and browser type. Cloudflare does this on our behalf to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not combine these logs with anything else and cannot identify you from them.
How visits are counted
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views. Cloudflare adds one small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com to each page to do this; it sends the page address, the referring site and load timings, sets no cookie and builds no profile. We see totals only: which pages were read, how often, and which site sent the reader.
Email you send us
Mail to corrections@terminalrules.com is forwarded to our mailbox by Cloudflare Email Routing. We use your address and message to answer you and to fix the record, and for nothing else. Your name is never published with a correction.
To see what we hold from you, or to have your email deleted, write to the same address and we will do it.
Legal basis and how long we keep things
The legal basis for all three, the request logs, the visit counts and answering your email, is our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: running the site, knowing which pages are read and keeping the record right.
We keep correction emails for up to 24 months, then delete them. Cloudflare keeps request logs for a short period under its own policy.
Cloudflare, Inc. is a US company and acts as our processor. Where data reaches the United States, the transfer rests on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, a limit on its use, or a copy of it, and you may object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Send any of these, or an objection, to corrections@terminalrules.com.
You may also complain to the Latvian supervisory authority, the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), dvi.gov.lv, or to the authority where you live.
