Stansted prints no height limit for the Express Set Down. It labels the area drop off only and sends pick-ups to Short Stay or Mid Stay, but its terms for the area also speak of picking a passenger up, so a pick-up here is not banned in words.
The place to pick someone up, or to walk a passenger into the terminal. Follow signs for Short Stay Car Park; only Green and Blue take pick-ups and drop-offs. Green is 5 to 8 minutes on foot, Blue 10 to 12.

The free option: 60 minutes free for a pick-up or drop-off, 5 pounds for the second hour, then the day rate. A free shuttle bus runs to the terminal and takes about 7 minutes.

Private hire zone:not published. Stansted publishes nothing for outside private hire drivers: no waiting area, no permit and no separate pick-up point. Its taxi page covers only the on-airport operator, whose desk is in international arrivals.
For non-scheduled charter and group coaches. Pay on the day at the coach station office next to bays 29 to 39. Wait in the layover area and move to a pick-up bay only when passengers are ready. Coaches may not be left unattended in the bays.
There is no free period, the departure fee is per pick-up. No height limit is printed for the bays.
